LIGHTING FOR LUXURY. HOW LEDS CAN MAKE YOUR SPACE LOOK RICHER

Lights Can Transfrom Any Space

There are 2 aspects of lighting – utility and design – that need to be considered when lighting a space. Lighting designers use different features of lighting to highlight the different areas on interiors and exteriors of a space. Just as the interplay of color and texture are used by an interior designer, lighting designers use light to heighten architectural features, artwork, and displays to create a dramatic effect. The best painting if not lit up well can appear dull and plain; similarly a dull painting can also look more alive and dynamic with effective lighting.
Light Emitting Diodes or LED’s are very popular today given their amazing bunch of benefits. Although LEDs are slightly more expensive when compared to a traditional bulb, but the energy savings and high economical features are worth the price. Research and competition have caused the price to fall a little. A wide range of LED lights like pendant lights, spotlight, up-light, recessed light, angled light etc are available.
Light fittings and frames can also be used to add décor and sparkle to your interiors. Wires also have become decorative. Hooks with colored flex running down the will give an intriguing look. There is also wireless lighting environment where lights can be dimmed and colors changed.
A wide range of LED lights is available; and they are elegant and can be combined with different materials to give the interior a rich and luxurious look. Light bounced off mirrored surfaces give a smoky glow. Colored shades of different materials add elegance.

  • LED strips are also functional and can be used in areas like the back of the fridge, stairways etc.
Outdoor lighting
Outdoor areas can take on a dramatic appearance with LED lighting. Outdoor parties take on a fairytale look with attractive LED lighting. Garden features like a striking tree, sculptures or espaliered wall can be lighted to look beautiful at night. Lit up terraced gardens can be used to entertain.
Water features take on a fantastic look, making the blend of light and water in a fountain seem magical. Plug in flood light like “Funnel Light” can be used behind plants to create an exotic effect. An outdoor chandelier adds a touch of elegance. If a dimming system is added it can be used to change the ambience if required. The lighting level can be increased for a party or dimmed for a romantic evening. LED lighting is innovative and ideas are plenty if you are creative.
